Run, swim, and bike your way to a cure for Diamond Blackfan Anemia in the Peconic Bay Medical Center’s Jamesport Triathlon. On July 26th, at 6:50 am EST in Jamesport, NY, prepare for RaceAwesome‘s epic competition benefiting the Daniella Maria Arturi Foundation! Get your healthy on, have fun, and make a difference!
The Daniella Maria Arturi Foundation (DMAF) is dedicated to funding research for, and raising awareness of, Diamond Blackfan Anemia (DBA), a rare ribosomal disorder that took the life of Daniella Maria Arturi, the daughter of buncee’s founder and CEO, Marie Arturi. With the help of the DMAF, doctors and researchers come closer every year to discovering a cure. Current theories link DBA to many other ribosomal diseases that affect a large percentage of the world’s population, making DBA research all the more important. Additionally, DMAF is the direct inspiration and motivator behind buncee. We aim to support DMAF while helping the world communicate creatively. Learn more about buncee’s connection to DMAF and DBA here.
Head to the PBMC’s Jamesport Triathlon Facebook page to learn more and sign up, or just register now! Whether you compete, or simply donate, help buncee and these great organizations work towards finding a cure for DBA. With some high energy, friendly competition, and smiles all around, we can work together to make an impact! Ready? Set. Go!
